The World Council of Churches (WCC) co-organised an in-person side event at Civil Society Policy Forum of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Washington, DC. Br Richard first came across the Taize Community when he was a high school student growing up in Berne, Switzerland. After he finished high school, he served as a Taize volunteer for one month. “That month became one year—and then I stayed here,” he said with a smile.
