Bei der Eröffnung der „Working Together“-Tagung am 24. April drückte der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, den ÖRK-Partnerorganisationen seine tiefe Dankbarkeit für ihre Unterstützung bei der Bestimmung und Durchführung von Programmen, Friedensbildung und dem prophetischen Sagen der Wahrheit aus.   

Die „Working Together“-Tagung  – die jährliche Versammlung der kirchlichen Dienste und Werke und des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) – endete mit einem Strategiegespräch der Generalsekretäre des ÖRK und der ACT Alliance (Action by Churches Together, Kirchen handeln gemeinsam).

Der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, fand sich mit dem Erzbischof von Canterbury und Führungspersonen der Anglikanischen Kirchengemeinschaft zu fruchtbaren Gesprächen zusammen.
