H2 is the name given to the eastern part of Hebron City, the only Palestinian city center which remains under full Israeli military control in the West Bank.

Masafer Yatta is in the South Hebron Hills, and it spreads over 3,000 hectares within Area C of the West Bank, and includes 12 Palestinian villages.

Approximately 56,908 Palestinians reside in the Jordan Valley, while approximately 11,000 Israelis settlers are living in the area.  Today, Palestinian Indigenous residents of the Jordan Valley are the subject of violence and exploitation by settlers and Israeli security forces with the intention to take over more land.

Demolition of Palestinian homes and structures occurs frequently in the the Jordan Valley and around Jericho.

This annual review of the activity of the WCC records many of the activities undertaken by the council during 2022 and continuing into 2023.

Between the period of the 13^th of September 1993 (when the Oslo Agreement was signed) and the 31^st of December 2022: Israel demolished 2787 structures in East Jerusalem including 213 donor-funded structures, and it displaced  5093 persons including 2582 children.  These included homes; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities; and agricultural structures.

Concept note for the 2021 World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel

L'annexion de facto est une réalité aujourd'hui là où Jésus a marché il y a 2 000 ans. Avec cette initiative de Pâques, nous voulons mettre en évidence la situation en Terre Sainte – bien que la menace d'annexion formelle du territoire palestinien occupé en Cisjordanie ait temporairement reculé, l'occupation continue d'avoir un impact profond et négatif sur la vie, les moyens de subsistance et les droits de l'homme du peuple palestinien.

De-facto annexation is a reality today where Jesus walked 2000 years ago. With this Easter initiative we want to highlight the situation in the Holy Land – though the threat of formal annexation of occupied Palestinian territory in the West Bank may have temporarily receded, occupation continues to profoundly and negatively impact the lives, livelihoods, and human rights of the Palestinian people.
