Co-hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Ecumenical and Francophone Seminar on the Theology of Ecology (SOFTE), the conference held on 5-8 July in Geneva, Switzerland, reflected on an ecumenical theology of ecology and care for creation that promotes a visible unity of Christian churches.

A new volume—“Contemporary ecotheology, climate justice and environmental stewardship in the world”—is the latest of the continued fruits of the 6th International Conference on Ecological theology and Environmental Ethics, or Ecothee, which took place in September 2019 at the Orthodox Academy of Crete in Kolymvari.

Organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the 5th International Conference on Ecological Theology and Environmental Ethics (ECOTHEE-17) brought together people from diverse nations and faith traditions to reflect on the theology of Oikos and indigenous spirituality.
