Le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) a été récompensé comme l'une des meilleures organisations non gouvernementales pour son travail en 2021. Le 1er février, il s'est vu décerner la troisième place du Geneva Engage Award pour l'efficacité et l'inspiration de ses actions de sensibilisation et d'engagement sur les réseaux sociaux.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) was honoured as a top non-governmental organization for its work during 2021, receiving a third-place Geneva Engage Award on 1 February for effective and inspiring social media outreach and engagement.

As the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov, World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca congratulated them and expressed solidarity with their ongoing fight for justice and peace.

Du 13 au 15 septembre prochains, un symposium international étudiera des questions clés pour nous aider à dessiner un avenir numérique plus juste. Un avenir qui, selon le père Ioan Sauca, secrétaire général par intérim du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), «nous impose plus que jamais d’approfondir notre réflexion et de repenser la philosophie, l’éthique, la jurisprudence et la théologie».

An upcoming international symposium, scheduled for 13-15 September, will explore some key questions to help us map a more just digital future, a future that “increasingly calls for deeper reflection and new thinking in philosophy, ethics, jurisprudence, and theology,” said World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof Dr Ioan Sauca.

Media and communicators are invited to an online “press club” event during which they can speak candidly on the theme “Digital instruments – Blessing or Curse?”
