As part of an ongoing series on bilateral dialogues, the World Council of Churches (WCC) will host a webinar, “Church, Mission, and the Bonds of Koinonia,” on 27 April that will bring in voices from the Anglican Communion, World Communion of Reformed Churches, and World Pentecostal Fellowship.

This webinar will mark the publication of the first volume of a three-volume history of ecumenism, in which scholars across continents and disciplines explore the role of individuals and groups, assemblies, documents and programmes, and theologies and practices in the history of ecumenism and the ecumenical movement

A 9 March webinar—the third in a series of seven on bilateral dialogues—will focus on “Anglican-Orthodox Dialogue: History, Results, Reception” as well as the Canterbury Statement “Stewards of Creation: A Hope-Filled Ecology,” a statement on ecology jointly published by the Anglican Communion and the Orthodox Churches in October 2020. 

A new webinar series will explore the role of bilateral dialogues among diverse churches. A webinar on 27 October will be the first in a series on ecumenical bilateral dialogues and their importance for the one ecumenical movement.

On February 5, shortly after Konrad Raiser’s 80th birthday, ecumenical experts from different generations, confessions and continents will meet in Geneva to discuss the newest publication by the former general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), titled The Challenge of Transformation: An Ecumenical Journey.
