WCC invites youth to Stewards Programme for 2018 Central Committee

The WCC invites ecumenical youth to be stewards at the 2018 Central Committee in Geneva, Switzerland. With application deadline 31 January, the Stewards Programme aims to bring together a dynamic and diverse group of 20 young people from all over the world from 5-23 June 2018.

Ein Höhepunkt dieses besonderen Ereignisses war der Besuch von Dr. Maude Barlow vom kanadischen Blue Planet Project, die dem ÖRK ein „Blue Community-Zertifikat" überreichte und auf die Probleme aufmerksam machte, die durch die gedankenlose Verwendung von Einwegplastikflaschen und ihre schädlichen Auswirkungen auf das Ökosystem unseres Planeten entstehen.

WCC Blue Community implements water changes in the Ecumenical Centre

The WCC celebrated implementation of its responsible water commitments in an event on 15 February in the Ecumenical Centre. The WCC became a Blue Community In October 2016. The special occasion was marked by the visit of Dr Maude Barlow from the Blue Planet Project, Canada, who awarded a “blue community certificate” to the WCC and raised awareness of the problems created by indiscriminate use of disposable plastic bottles and their negative impact on our planet’s ecosystem.

Februar am Sitz der Vereinten Nationen in Genf.
