The World Council of Churches (WCC) is bringing prayers and expertise to the 23rd session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Peoples, which is running in New York from 15-26 April. 

Aa the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity opened on 18 January, the World Council of Churches staff and partners gathered in a spirit of unity to “Do good; seek justice,” the theme of this year’s special week.

Der Weltverband für christliche Kommunikation (World Association for Christian Communication, WACC) hat einen Soforthilfe-Fonds gegründet, mit dem Medienkanäle von Bürgerorganisationen und Gemeinwesen unterstützt werden sollen, die schutzbedürftige Gesellschaftsgruppen, die oftmals keinen Zugang zu den Massenmedien haben, mit korrekten und gesicherten Informationen im Zusammenhang mit dem Coronavirus versorgen. Sowohl Einzelpersonen als auch Organisationen sind aufgerufen, Mittel für diesen Fonds zu spenden.

The World Association for Christian Communication is creating a rapid response fund to help support grassroots community media outlets that provide accurate, trusted coronavirus-related information to vulnerable people who often cannot access mainstream media. Individuals and organisations are encouraged to contribute to the fund.
