The World Council of Churches (WCC), with the Laudato Si’ Movement and other partners, will cohost a seminar in Assisi, Italy, on 15-16 March. Entitled "The Feast of Creation and the Mystery of Creation: Ecumenism, Theology, Liturgy, and Signs of the Times in Dialogue,” the event aims to deepen the collective understanding and appreciation of the Feast of Creation, observed on 1 September.

As the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting commenced in Davos beginning 15 January, World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay urged the gathering to renew its commitment to multilateral cooperation for the longer-term good of all people. 

The forum is convening under the theme “Rebuilding Trust.” 

Julia Rensberg, a passionate advocate for youth and Indigenous Sami communities from the Church of Sweden, took centre stage at the Faith Pavilion's side event on “Interfaith Youth Dialogue on Climate Justice, Promoting Resilience and Hope.”

Der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen, der Muslimische Ältestenrat und die Rose Castle Foundation veranstalten im Ökumenischen Institut in Bossey ein „Emerging Peacemakers Forum“ für junge Frauen und Männer, die für zivilgesellschaftliche und internationale Organisationen arbeiten, oder für Menschen, die in ihren Gesellschaften über Einfluss verfügen. Junge Menschen, die bereits Erfahrung mit Friedensarbeit, Konfliktlösung und Konfliktmanagement haben, sind ebenso eingeladen wie junge Menschen, die daran interessiert sind, die Werte des Friedens in ihrem Lebenskontext zu verbreiten.

Le Conseil œcuménique des Églises, le Conseil des sages musulmans et la Fondation Rose Castle organisent à l’Institut œcuménique de Bossey l’Emerging Peacemakers Forum (Forum des nouveaux artisans de paix) pour les jeunes femmes et les jeunes hommes travaillant au sein de la société civile et d’organisations internationales ou les personnalités influentes au sein de leurs sociétés. Les jeunes ayant une expérience dans l’instauration de la paix, la résolution ou la gestion de conflit sont également invité-e-s à déposer leur candidature, tout comme les jeunes qui souhaitent diffuser les valeurs de paix dans leurs régions.

The World Council of Churches, the Muslim Council of Elders and Rose Castle Foundation are hosting an Emerging Peacemakers Forum for young men and women working in civil society and international organizations, or for influential people in their societies, at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey. Young people who have previous experience in peace-making, conflict resolution, or conflict management, are also invited to apply, in addition to young people who are interested in spreading the values of peace where they live.
