The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Ecumenical and Francophone Society on the Theology of Ecology cohosted a hybrid seminar from 5-7 July at the Ecumenical Center in Geneva.

Der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) setzte sich in seinem Beitrag zum Seminar „Social justice in the world of work and beyond: from common values to common engagement and action“ (auf Deutsch: Soziale Gerechtigkeit in der Arbeitswelt und darüber hinaus: von gemeinsamen Werten zu gemeinsamem Engagement und Aktion“) mit der Würde der Arbeit, Gerechtigkeit und Solidarität am Arbeitsplatz auseinander.

بعث 50 شابا من 24 دولة رسالة أمل إلى مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية بشأن تغير المناخ COP28))، الذي تستضيفه دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في نهاية عام 2023. تم تسليم الرسالة أثناء حفل خاص خلال انعقاد النسخة الثانية من "منتدى صناع السلام الناشئين"، الذي عقد في المعهد المسكوني في بوسي، سويسرا.

50 jóvenes de 24 países han enviado un mensaje de esperanza a la Conferencia de las Partes en la Convención Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático (COP28), que se celebrará en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos a finales de 2023. El mensaje se pronunció en una ceremonia especial durante la segunda edición del Foro de Pacificadores Emergentes, que tuvo lugar en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey (Suiza).

50 jeunes de 24 pays ont envoyé un message d’espoir à la Conférence des Parties à la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatiques (COP 28), qui sera accueillie par les Émirats arabes unis fin 2023. Le message a été communiqué à l’occasion d'une cérémonie spéciale qui a eu lieu au cours de la deuxième édition du Forum des nouveaux artisans de la paix organisée à l’Institut œcuménique de Bossey, en Suisse.

50 Jugendliche aus 24 Ländern haben eine Botschaft der Hoffnung an die Vertragsstaatenkonferenz der Klimarahmenkonvention der Vereinten Nationen (COP28) geschickt, die Ende 2023 in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate stattfindet. Überbracht wurde die Botschaft in einer außergewöhnlichen Feierstunde, die im Rahmen der zweiten Ausgabe des Emerging Peacemakers Forums im Ökumenischen Institut in Bossey, Schweiz, abgehalten wurde.

En su contribución al seminario “Justicia social en el mundo del trabajo y más allá: de los valores comunes al compromiso y la acción comunes”, el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) reflexionó sobre la dignidad del trabajo, la justicia y la solidaridad en el lugar de trabajo.

Le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) a contribué au séminaire «La justice sociale dans le monde du travail et au-delà: des valeurs communes à l’engagement et à l’action communs», lors duquel des réflexions sur la dignité du travail, la justice et la solidarité sur le lieu de travail ont été menées.

50 young people from 24 countries have sent a message of hope to the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates at the end of 2023. The message was delivered during a special ceremony during the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum, held at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, Switzerland.

From 2020 to 2021, more than 50 million people were displaced due to weather events and faced risks of trafficking and even death as well as discrimination based on race and gender. This finding emerged from the report of Ian Fry, special rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights in the context of climate change, to the 53rd session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva from 19 June-14 July.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), in its contribution to the seminar “Social justice in the world of work and beyond: from common values to common engagement and action,” reflected on the dignity of work, justice and solidarity in the workplace.
