A statement from the World Council of Churches 11th Assembly, “The Living Planet: seeking a just and sustainable global community,” raises an increasingly urgent voice of concern and demand for action.

La conférence de presse du 1^er septembre, à l’occasion de la 11^e Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), a suscité diverses questions de journalistes à l’intention de trois panélistes qui ont célébré les dons de la terre lors de l’ouverture de la Saison de la création, mais ont tempéré cette joie en avertissant que ces dons périront si les gens ne se rassemblent pas au niveau mondial.

During an ecumenical service in Aachen Cathedral, on 28 August, Protestant and Roman Catholic churches in Germany as well as the churches affiliated to the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Christlicher Kirchen (Working Group of Christian Churches) will jointly remember and honor the victims of the floods that severely hit the region.
