Al comenzar el encuentro “Trabajar juntos”, el 24 de abril, el secretario general del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), el Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, dijo estar profundamente agradecido por los asociados del CMI, cuyo apoyo ha contribuido a definir y dirigir los programas, a construir la paz y a difundir la verdad profética.

Le 24 avril, lors de l’ouverture de l’événement «Œuvrer ensemble», le secrétaire général du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), le pasteur Jerry Pillay, a dit aux partenaires du COE toute sa reconnaissance pour leur soutien en vue de définir et d’orienter les programmes, d’instaurer la paix et de propager la vérité en prophètes.

As part of the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle—this week focusing on the churches and people of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan—Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz Peters offered a reflection. 

During a webinar on 25 April, young people shared their honest perspectives on “safe spaces” in faith communities. They talked about the characteristics of a safe space—and what churches can do better, particularly when working with issues related to HIV and reproductive health.

As the “Working Together” gathering opened on 24 April, World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay expressed deep appreciation for WCC partners whose support has helped define and direct programs, peace-building, and prophetic truth-telling.   

The World Council of Churches morning prayer on 22 April was focused on Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, solemnly marking the 11th anniversary of the abduction of archbishops of Aleppo.

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, on behalf of the global fellowship, extended greetings and wishes to Jewish people everywhere as they commemorate Passover. 

A book discussion on “Ahead of Her Time: Pan-African Women of Faith and the Vision of Christian Unity, Mission, and Justice,” showed how women of pan-African descent are bringing the wisdom and fire of ecumenism into the hearts and minds of the next generation.

During a World Council of Churches morning prayer—focusing on the churches and people of Belarus, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine – a reflection by Prof. Dr Dmytro Tsolin focused on both the pain of the war in Ukraine as well as how we hang onto hope.

10 квітня Блаженніший Митрополит Київський і всієї України Епіфаній відвідав Всесвітню раду церков (ВРЦ) на прохання генерального секретаря ВРЦ, преподобного професора д-ра Джері Піллея, щоб обговорити поточну ситуацію в Україні, роль Православної церкви України (ПЦУ) у досягненні миру, подальшу участь ВРЦ у вирішенні проблем, пов'язаних з війною, а також процес вступу до ВРЦ.

10 апреля Блаженнейший Митрополит Киевский и всея Украины Епифаний посетил Всемирный совет церквей (ВСЦ) по просьбе генерального секретаря ВСЦ, преподобного профессора д-ра Джерри Пиллэя, чтобы обсудить текущую ситуацию в Украине, роль Православной церкви Украины (ПЦУ) по достижению мира, дальнейшее участие ВСЦ в решении проблем войны, а также членство в ВСЦ.

Su Beatitud el metropolitano Epifanio de Kiev y toda Ucrania visitó el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) el 10 de abril a petición del secretario general del CMI, Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, para hablar de la situación actual en Ucrania, el papel de la Iglesia Ortodoxa de Ucrania (OCU, por su sigla en inglés) en el trabajo por la paz, la continua participación del CMI para hacer frente a la guerra y el proceso de adhesión al CMI. 

Seine Seligkeit Metropolit Epiphany von Kyjiw und der gesamten Ukraine hat am 10. April auf Einladung des ÖRK-Generalsekretärs Pastor Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay den Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) besucht, um über die aktuelle Lage in der Ukraine, die Rolle der Orthodoxen Kirche der Ukraine in der Friedensarbeit, das fortgesetzte Engagement der ÖRK für die Beendigung dieses Krieges und den Weg zu einer Mitgliedschaft im ÖRK zu sprechen.

Le 10 avril, Sa Béatitude, le Métropolite Épiphane de Kiev et de toute l’Ukraine était en visite au Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) à la demande du secrétaire général du COE, le pasteur Jerry Pillay, pour évoquer la situation actuelle en Ukraine, le rôle de l’Église orthodoxe en Ukraine (EOU) pour instaurer la paix, l’implication continue du COE pour mettre un terme à la guerre et le processus d’adhésion au COE.
