El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) está aportando sus oraciones y su experiencia a la vigésimo tercera sesión del Foro Permanente para las Cuestiones Indígenas de la ONU, que tiene lugar del 15 al 26 de abril en Nueva York.

En nombre de las iglesias miembros del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), el secretario general del CMI, Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, afirmó que el documento oficial del XXV Consejo Mundial de los Pueblos Rusos que describe el conflicto en Ucrania como una “guerra santa” es incompatible con las perspectivas del CMI.

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, on behalf of WCC member churches, said that the WCC cannot reconcile the Decree of the XXV World Russian People's Council describing the conflict in Ukraine as a “Holy War.”

El secretario general del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias, el Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, en nombre de la comunidad mundial de iglesias, expresó profunda preocupación por la reciente escalada de la violencia en Oriente Medio tras la primera confrontación directa entre Irán e Israel.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is bringing prayers and expertise to the 23rd session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Peoples, which is running in New York from 15-26 April. 

World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, on behalf of the global fellowship, expressed grave concern regarding the recent escalation of violence in the Middle East following the first direct confrontation between Iran and Israel.
