Une «Journée à l'Assemblée du COE» pour les communautés migrantes de Genève

À Genève, 120 membres de communautés migrantes représentant diverses Églises locales ont participé à une journée d'information sur la prochaine Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), qui aura lieu à Busan, en République de Corée. Cette journée a été ponctuée de réflexions sur les questions de la justice et de la paix, en lien notamment avec la condition des travailleurs migrants.

Une journée à Genève pour célébrer l'esprit de l'Assemblée du COE

Les membres d'Églises migrantes et locales de Genève pourront faire l'expérience de la vie et de l'esprit de la Dixième Assemblée du COE à l'occasion d'une journée organisée dans leur ville le samedi 14 septembre. Cet événement, intitulé «Une journée à la 10e Assemblée du COE», aura lieu au Centre œcuménique, à Genève, de 8 h 30 à 16 h 30.

Faith leaders promote protection of displaced people

Along with other faith-based groups, the WCC has helped develop a declaration, launched by the United Nations refugee agency. It aims to strengthen protection for the world’s refugees as well as internally displaced and stateless people, who account for more than 40 million people in the world.

Sunday, 25 March was a day full of moving and thought provoking experiences for the participants of a pre-assembly event of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission on World Mission and Evangelism, who spent half a day with a community living at a garbage dumpsite on the outskirts of Manila, Philippines.

Transformative spiritualities are also one of the constituent themes of the CWME statement on mission and evangelism that will be presented to the WCC 10th Assembly in Busan, Korea in 2013.
