Also on his agenda was a meeting with Rev. Joseph Kassab, president of the Supreme Council of Evangelical Community in Syria and Lebanon, general secretary of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon, and member of the executive committee of the Middle East Council of Churches, in his office in the headquarters of the Supreme Council of the Evangelical Community in Syria and Lebanon-Rabieh, in the presence of Rev. Najla Kassab and Rev. Father George Murad.

The general secretary met with His Beatitude Raphael Bedros XXI Minassian, Patriarch Catholicos of the Armenian Catholic Church of Cilicia. 

Pillay visited Saint Paul Convent in Harissa, Lebanon, and the Congregation of the Missionaries of Saint Paul, Melkite Greek Catholic Church.

Pillay was received by Father Marwan Sayde, general president of the Congregation of the Missionaries of Saint Paul, Harissa; Fr Gaby Hachem, professor of Doctrinal Theology; and Fr Sami Nehme, professor of Biblical Theology.

He also met with the Middle East Council of Churches, reiterating his congratulations on the councils 50th anniversary.
