Rev. Dr Larry D. Pickens is an ordained clergy person in The United Methodist Church with Dual Standing in the Penn Northeast Conference of the United Church of Christ. He is the executive director of the Pennsylvania Council of Churches. He is also a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois. Pickens has served as the general secretary of the former General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns of The United Methodist Church. He has also served on the WCC executive and central committees. Pickens is an active participant in the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA and the United Nations Permanent Forum for People of African Descent.
