Continuing formation programmes for professionals are gaining more importance today in response to rapidly changing contexts. The WCC project on ecumenical continuing formation provides leadership training, including accredited short-term courses as well as seminars, research groups and resource development.
The safe spaces created in these courses allow people who wish to develop their expertise to address burning topics for the ecumenical movement in a multi-religious world. As contributions to the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace, the activities build awareness of the ecumenical implications of societal and ecclesial changes.
Courses take place at the Ecumenical Institute Bossey, in other regional locations, or through a WCC online learning platform offered in partnership with Globethics.net. Available courses are listed on the WCC website when open to applications.
All activities are organized in cooperation with WCC member churches and/or ecumenical partners as well as civil society actors, international organizations and the WCC’s programmatic teams.
If you are interested in organizing a seminar or webinar on ecumenical concerns for churches in your region in cooperation with the WCC, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
