The sixty-eighth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place from 11 to 22 March 2024. Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from all regions of the world will be engaged in person and online. The CSW is the largest United Nations gathering on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

An event entitled “Nuclear Resilience for Peace and Prosperity” will officially open a photo exhibition on 8 March at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva. Co-hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Permanent Mission of the Marshall Islands in Geneva.

The World Social Forum (WSF) 2024 is scheduled to take place from February 15-19 in Nepal. The tenth edition of the Symposium on the Role of Religion and Faith-based Organizations in International Affairs will take place on 23 January online, and will explore the theme “Human Rights and Dignity: Toward a Just, Peaceable, and Inclusive Future.”

CoNGO, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the World Council of Churches are all celebrating a 75th anniversary—and an event at the Ecumenical Centre on 15 December will mark that milestone. 

This hybrid event during 16 Days against gender-based violence focuses on the impacts of weaponizing women in war, the transformational healing required, and ways women's input can influence peace-building.

Co-organized by the World Council of Churches, World Federation for Mental Health, and World Health Organisation, the event will celebrate the 75th anniversary of both the WCC and the World Federation for Mental Health. 

To coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10 October, the World Council of Churches' (WCC) announces its 13th Global Ecumenical Health Network Meeting on 11 October. Faith-based organizations will gather in-person and online on  9 February to explore the theme “Ethical Perspectives on COP27 & Looking Forward Towards COP28.”

Organized by the World Council of Churches and a variety of other faith-based partners, the symposium, an online event, will open with a high-level panel consisting of a UN official, faith-based representative, and member state. The theme of the 2023 edition is "Securing People’s Wellbeing and Planetary Sustainability".

A conference focusing on water for human rights and sustainable development will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland and online on 3-4 November.
