WCC Eco-School begins in Crete

Fifteen young people from 10 countries across Europe and North America are taking part of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School at the Orthodox Academy of Crete, Greece, 11-18 November, exploring water, food, and climate justice.

Le Kirchentag ouvre ses portes à Nuremberg

Traitant de sujets tels que la guerre en Ukraine et la protection du climat, le 38e Kirchentag, grand rassemblement des protestant-e-s allemand-e-s, se déroule du 7 au 11 juin, à Nuremberg, en Allemagne. La présence du Conseil œcuménique des Églises dans la salle d’exposition du Kirchentag, le «Marché des possibles», (hall 9, stand 9-C32) permet des rencontres dynamiques et donne la possibilité d’en apprendre davantage sur le mouvement œcuménique.

German Protestant Kirchentag opens in Nuremberg

With the topics of the war in Ukraine and climate protection as the focal points, the 38th German Protestant Kirchentag takes place in Nuremberg, Germany from 7 to 11 June. The World Council of Churches’ presence in the Kirchentag’s exhibition space Market of Opportunities” (hall 9, stand 9-C32) enables lively encounters and an opportunity to learn more about the ecumenical movement.

At diakonia conference in Norway, world’s pressing challenges and gratitude share the stage

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay served as a keynote speaker at the Ninth Conference for Research in Diakonia and Christian Social Practice, hosted by the International Society for the Research and Study of Diakonia and Christian Social Practice and VID Specialized University. The theme of the conference was Contested Spaces of Diaconia – Seeking Justice, Safety and Well-Being.”
