From 18 to 25 January 2008 Christians all over the world will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. On this occasion, the major global Christian student and youth organizations and youth desks of the different Churches call upon all their members to take action and make their voices heard for Christian Unity.

Du 18 au 25 janvier 2008, les chrétien(ne)s du monde entier célébreront le 100e anniversaire de la Semaine de prière pour l'unité des chrétiens. A cette occasion, les principales organisations chrétiennes mondiales d'étudiant(e)s et de jeunes et les départements de jeunesse des Eglises appellent leurs membres à agir et à faire entendre la voix des jeunes en faveur de l'unité chrétienne.

We request our churches in Korea, Japan and Germany to work locally for the remembrance of history and the transmission of insights gained thereby to the next generation.

We therefore request our congregations to work for a situation where the wrongdoing, which in some cases has only just come to light, is not repressed, and call upon them to seek solutions in cooperation with the responsible politicians and citizens' action groups.

Guidelines (working document) 2005

This document has been written to accompany World Council of Churches, Partnerships between Churches and People Living with HIV/AIDS Organizations: Guidelines, (2005). Whereas the partnership document explores the question of why churches should work with People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) organizations and networks, this document has a focus on how churches may work with PLWHA organizations and networks. For example: What issues do you need to think about? What are the needs of PLWHA? How should you interact PLWHA? It is hoped that this document of practical suggestions will assist in helping make partnerships functional and effective.
