The World Council of Churches (WCC) invites ecumenical youth to be stewards at the 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2022. The Stewards Programme aims to bring together a dynamic and diverse group of 160 young people from all over the world, from 21 August to 10 September 2022. The invitation is open to young people from a variety of backgrounds, churches and regions.

Le COE invite les jeunes au programme des stewards de la 11e Assemblée devant avoir lieu en 2022

Le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) invite la jeunesse œcuménique à participer au programme d’accueil (stewards) de la 11e Assemblée devant avoir lieu à Karlsruhe, en Allemagne, en 2022. Cet évènement vise à rassembler un groupe dynamique et diversifié de 160 jeunes du monde entier, entre le 21 août et le 10 septembre 2022. L’invitation s’adresse à des jeunes de divers horizons, appartenant à différentes Églises, et de toutes les régions.

Rev. Dr Hans-Ruedi Weber dies at 97

During his long career, Weber, who passed away on 18 October, made the Bible come alive for thousands of people through Bible studies that he coordinated with groups from many different cultures, contexts and situations.

WCC mourns passing of Hendrew Lusey-Gekawaku

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is mourning the passing away of Hendrew Lusey-Gekawaku on 13 October 2020. He was a registered nurse, public health practitioner and ecumenist who contributed enormously to ecumenical and interfaith HIV and AIDS responses.

WCC, UNICEF celebrate commitment of churches to children

“Churches can help respond to the urgent demands of the children who march in the streets for our planet,” said moderator of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Central Committee, Dr Agnes Abuom, during the Executive Committee celebratory break marking the 30th anniversary of the Convention of the Rights of the Child.
