Christian Aid acknowledged the work of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel during a special ceremony and high tea on 12 June at the Church House, Dean’s Yard. 

The National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA brought church leaders, ecumenical and interfaith partners, UN representatives, and advocates for justice and peace together for its Impact Week 2025 in New York City. 

A new network of young people, ages 20-30, has formed a cohort called “Ecumenical voices of youth ambassadors”, to articulate a vision of rooted in justice, unity, and reconciliation. 

The Lutheran World Federation Council will gather in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 11-16 June under the theme “Be my witnesses.” 

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is mourning the death of Rev. Dr Elizabeth S. Tapia, former professor of mission and contextual theology at the WCC Ecumenical Institute at Bossey from 2002-2005. 

Gathered in prayer in the chapel on 10 June, the WCC Ecumenical Institute at Bossey saw four new students graduate with a Master of Advanced Studies in Ecumenical Studies.

The Joint Consultative Group between the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Pentecostal World Fellowship held a meeting from 4–7 June, alongside the Pentecostal World Conference in Helsinki, Finland. The meeting was hosted at Siion Church.

In a message to the 27th Pentecostal World Conference, being held in Helsinki 4-7 June, World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay reflected on the theme of the conference, “Go &Make,” describing it as both timely and deeply challenging.
