Stories and deep insights, prayers, and even challenging questions about the future marked the kickoff of 16 Days Against Gender-Based Violence on 25 November with a webinar featuring trailblazers who have successfully intervened to bring about justice and equality across the world. 

A delegation from the Protestant Church in Switzerland visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 20 November. The delegation included Rev. A new book, "Ahead of Her Time: Pan-African Women of Faith and the Vision of Christian Unity, Mission, and Justice,” authored by World Council of Churches (WCC) president from North America Rev. Dr Angelique Walker-Smith, debuted on 1 November, All Saints Day, during an online and in-person reception and awards ceremony of pan-African women of faith represented in the book. The event took place at Bread for the World (USA) in Washington, DC.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) executive committee will meet 8-14 November in Abuja, Nigeria to approve plans and budget for 2024, and to further develop the Pilgrimage of Justice, Reconciliation, and Unity.

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay met with Right Livelihood executive director Ole von Uexkuell and Right Livelihood board chair Rev. Dr Gunilla Hallonsten on 30 October.

Rev. Dr. Karen Georgia A. Thompson was installed as general minster and president of the United Church of Christ on 20 October. She is the first female to hold this leadership post.
