Inter-Religious Ceremony for Peace in Solidarity with Refugees

Refugees, regionally diverse international and local religious leaders, faith representatives and institutions will gather for a special ceremony of inter-religious prayer, co-curated by the Plateforme InterReligieuse de Genève, and the World Council of Churches, as part of the event “Religious Leaders Unite for Climate Peace in Solidarity with Refugees”, linked to the Global Refugee Forum.

Webinar on Ending Statelessness

It has been two years since the United High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) launched its Global Action Plan to End Statelessness and the first ever Global Forum on Statelessness in The Hague, The Netherlands, where an ecumenical delegation shared their Recommendations. The purpose of the webinar is to mark this anniversary and assess the work achieved during the launch of this global campaign.

WCC/UN High Level Conference: Refugee Crisis in Europe

18 - 19 January 2016

Some 80 leaders of governments, UN agencies, faith-related as well as non-religious civil society organizations from countries affected by the current refugee crisis in Europe, Middle East, and Africa will meet at a conference hosted by the World Council of Churches in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA), and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to discern how they can proactively influence and shape coordinated collective practical responses.
