The Stop Killer Robots Campaign, of which the World Council of Churches (WCC) is an active member, has received the 2024 Golden Dove International Peace Prize. 

Catholic, Protestant, and Anglican bishops from all over the world took part in an international ecumenical online meeting of the Focolare Movement on 19 September. Forty retired World Council of Churches (WCC) staff gathered at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey on 21 August to celebrate the WCC’s 76th anniversary and to receive greetings and reflections from WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, from current WCC staff, and staff from ecumenical partner organizations.

Diese Online-Veranstaltung hat die Erfahrungen und die Widerstandskraft junger Menschen und Kinder in den Mittelpunkt gestellt, die inmitten von Konflikten leben, und darauf aufmerksam gemacht, wie übermächtig der Wunsch nach Frieden und Unterstützung ist.
