Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea leaders meet with WCC general secretary

Hunsam Lee, new general secretary of the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea, and Dr Sungkook Park, from the Ecumenical Department of the church, met with Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay, general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), and Dr Manoj Kurian, director of the WCC Commission of the Churches on Health and Healing, at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva. 

From generation to generation

The mountaintop is a holy place. The valleys below are distant, and the weight of daily life feels momentarily lifted. WCC mourns passing of Rev. Dr John Moyer

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is mourning the death of Rev. Dr John Moyer, Presbyterian minister from Berkeley, California (US), who dedicated his life to ecumenical work. 

Towards a life-flourishing ministry

Over the past few days, I had the privilege of attending several significant events in Seoul, South Korea: the centennial anniversary of the National Council of Churches in Korea, the Ecumenical Forum for the Korean Peace Process, the general assemblies of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, and the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea, as well as the Ecumenical Conference on Life-Flourishing Community Ministries.

WCC general secretary will visit Korea to pray and work with churches

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay will visit South Korea in September to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) at a global conference on 20-22 September, then attend the assemblies of the Presbyterian Church of Korea Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea on 24-26 September.
