Since 1980, the annual Right Livelihood award has highlighted individuals and organizations whose work promotes justice, peace, and sustainability for all, but might otherwise not receive the recognition they deserve. On 3 October, Right Livelihood announced four new laureates, continuing this tradition.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) will host, for the next ten days, the Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics, and Management for an Economy of Life (GEM School) from 19-28 August, in Limuru, Kenya.
