Assembly communicators reunite to look back—and step forward—together

Nearly 50 of 140 communicators who worked together at the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2022 held an online reunion on 10 April, taking a fun look back at their fondest memories—and a serious look forward on how artificial intelligence is affecting their work. 

New WCC appointments reflect strong global fellowship

The World Council of Churches (WCC) has made new staff appointments during 2024, including three new commission directors. WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay warmly greeted them as they began to serve in their particular ministries.

On Palm Sunday, WCC walks in solidarity with Gaza Christians

Six ecumenical accompaniers have returned to Palestine and Israel, resuming in-person operations for the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel. Ecumenical accompaniers, who were evacuated beginning of October 2023, had been continuing their support and accompaniment online.
