El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) ha hecho nuevos nombramientos de personal durante 2024, que incluyen tres nuevos directores de comisiones. El secretario general del CMI, Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, les dio una calurosa bienvenida cuando comenzaron a prestar servicio en sus respectivos ministerios.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) has made new staff appointments during 2024, including three new commission directors. WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay warmly greeted them as they began to serve in their particular ministries.

The World Day of Prayer, to be observed on 1 March, has been prepared this year by an ecumenical group of Palestinian women in response to the theme “I beg you…bear with one another in love.”

A communique from a prayer planning committee explained that Christians are called into prayer and advocacy for peace. “In a global context where war and violence abound, the practice of peace has become even more urgent,” reads the message.
