As an early and eager pioneer in the ecumenical movement, Archbishop of Uppsala and the Primate of Sweden, Dr Nathan Söderblom (1866 -1931) earned worldwide recognition. His dedication to ecumenical work for peace earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1930.

On Monday 3 June the WCC hosts a half-day seminar on the legacy of one of ecumenism’s leading figures, archishop Nathan Söderblom, followed by a discussion on today’s ecumenical challenges.
