With a clear mandate to sharpen CEC’s purpose and profile fulfilled, and strategic directions for the future affirmed at last year’s general assembly in Estonia, he now continues an extraordinary ecumenical journey, a journey where the search for his own Christian identity has played a significant role.

On 20 November 2023, Rev. Dr Martin Hirzel, Director External Relations of the Protestant Church in Switzerland, Mr Damian Kessi, External Relations officer, Ms Marion Wittine, Assistant to the Director External Relations and Mr David Zaugg, Senior Officer for Public Affairs and Migration visited the WCC. They met with Ms Marianne Ejdersten, WCC Director of Communication and Mr Doug Chial, Director of the WCC Office of the General Secretariat.
