2022 Easter Prayer for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula, drafted by the National Council of Churches in Korea.

The National Council of Churches in Korea composed the prayer. Churches are encouraged to translate this prayer into their national languages and share it with their congregations.

As a wide coalition of faith-based communities from around the world, we have committed to speaking
with one voice that rejects the existential threat to humanity that nuclear weapons pose. We reaffirm that the presence of even one nuclear weapon violates the core principles of our different faith traditions and threatens the unimaginable destruction of everything we hold dear.

reconciliation, peace and co-existence, we share a sermon, a prayer, a testimony
and a solidarity message that you may use as good worship resources for the
National Reconciliation Week. Please use them for Sunday worship, Wednesday
gatherings and bible study meetings during the National Reconciliation Week.

Message from the Ecumenical Forum for Peace, Reunification & Development Cooperation on the Korean Peninsula 22-23 June 2018, Geneva, Switzerland.

Participants of the “International Conference in Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the 88 Declaration” organized by the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) issued a communique that welcomes the new steps toward dialogue as an historic opportunity.

Each year, Christians are invited to join in a prayer for peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula. Prepared by the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) and the Korean Christian Federation (KCF), the prayer is traditionally used on the Sunday before 15 August every year.

The National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) and the Korean Christian Federation (KCF) have worked together to prepare the “2017 Easter Joint North-South Prayer.”
