Living Letters team to visit the Philippines

An international team of church representatives will pay a solidarity visit to churches, ecumenical organizations and civil society movements in the Philippines from 1 to 5 December. It will be the last in a series of "Living Letters" visits to various countries organized ahead of the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation in May 2011, in order to accompany people and churches who long for peace, security and reconciliation in the midst of conflicts and violence.

Christians and Muslims call for mutual commitment to justice

Two panel discussions in Geneva, Switzerland highlighted the second morning of the “Transforming Communities” international consultation on Muslim-Christian relations. Panellists focused the attention of approximately 60 delegates on the topics “Beyond Minority and Majority” and “From Conflict to Compassionate Justice.”

United Nations Advocacy Week 2010 Prayers

The Sixth United Nations Advocacy Week focused on the Palestine - Israel conflict and the situation in Nigeria. The meetings started every day with prayer in the chapel of the Ecumenical Centre, focusing on the Beatitudes (Mathews 5: 1-11) in connection with the themes of the International Ecumenical Peace Convocation (IEPC).
