Christian communicators shine at Global Media Forum

The World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) was featured in the DW Global Media Forum held 27-28 May in Bonn, Germany. More than 2,000 media professionals, policymakers, and movers from politics and civil society, culture and education, business and science – representing 140 countries – attended the conference.

World Council of Churches and Wiley to launch new venture on interreligious dialogue

The World Council of Churches (WCC) and John Wiley & Sons (Wiley) have announced that Current Dialogue, the WCC’s journal of interreligious dialogue, will from 2019 be published by Wiley as part of the WCC quarterly, The Ecumenical Review.
One of the most long-standing and respected journals in the field of interreligious dialogue, Current Dialogue started publication in 1980–81, produced by the WCC’s then programme on Dialogue with People of Living Faiths and Ideologies.

We cannot baptise violence

The 16 days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence serve as a reminder to the world that such violence remains widespread. Women from diverse social, economic, political, religious and other backgrounds are vulnerable to violence. Sadly, religion has denied many women survivors of gender-based violence access to justice.
