The fifth edition of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice, will be held 20-26 November 2022 in the North America region. Convening in-person at the Stony Point Center in New York, the event is open to young people under 30 years of age from the North America region only.

The third edition of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice will be held 4-17 November 2019 in Chiang Mai, Thailand, hosted by the Christian Conference of Asia. This year, the Eco-School will focus on Asia and therefore only open to Asians.

Midday Prayer for those grieving after Ethiopian Airlines flight disaster

20 March 2019

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is inviting the public, media, and all people of goodwill to join in a Midday Prayer on 20 March. Prayers will focus on grieving family, friends and colleagues who lost loved ones from UN agencies, the WCC and other organizations who perished in the Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crash on 10 March.

Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice

The Ecumenical Water Network (EWN), in collaboration with the WCC Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance (EAA) and WCC’s Economic and Ecological Justice programme, is organising the second edition of the Eco-School for up to 25 young people from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss the nexus between water, food and climate justice.

As the WCC has chosen Latin America as its focused region for 2018 within its programmatic framework of Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace, the WCC’s Ecumenical Water Network is showcasing an exhibition at the Ecumenical Center, in Geneva, on WATER, FOOD and CLIMATE CHANGE. Each photograph tells a story of water justice from Latin American region. Photographer Sean Hawkey* went to Latin America in search of water justice stories, with an assignment from the World Council of Churches (WCC).
