A webinar hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) Faith and Order Commission on “Koinonia and Visible Unity,” scheduled for 30 September, will be a continuation of a  series on responses to The Church: Towards a Common Vision.

In five episodes held on the third Thursday of each month beginning in November, the webinars will explore the following themes: “Answering the Ancestral Call of Legacy and Leadership,” “The Healing in Our Lament,” “Hope: Unity Within Diversity,” “The Celebration in Transformation,” and “Resurrection: The Diakonia at Work in the World Today.”

From 2-4 June 2021, the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Institute at Bossey hosts an international conference on ‘Teaching Ecumenism in the Context of World Christianity’.

To commemorate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak (1469), the first guru of the Sikhs, a Christian-Sikh dialogue will be organised in Geneva on the 5th of July 2019. The dialogue will focus on the theme ‘Pursuing Peace in a Pluralistic World’.

The Commission on Faith and Order is a study commission of the World Council of Churches. The purpose of the theological studies it undertakes is ecumenical: “to serve the churches as they call one another to visible unity in one faith and in one eucharistic fellowship…”
