Interfaith Pre-Conference at AIDS 2016

16 - 17 July 2016

The International AIDS Conference (18-22 July) provides extensive opportunities for sharing and networking across all levels of care and response to the epidemic. It draws tens of thousands of people every two years. The WCC-Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance is coordinating an Interfaith Pre-Conference to bring faith-based participants together to share good practices, networking, and discussion of the faith-based response to current challenges in responding to HIV.

Churches’ Week of Action on Food

The Churches’ Week of Action on Food is an opportunity for Christians and others around the world to act together for food justice and food sovereignty. It is a special time to raise awareness about farming approaches that help individuals and communities develop resiliency and combat poverty. The Food for Life Campaign places a particular emphasis on sustainable agricultural practices and the situation of smallholder producers and their access to, and control over, natural resources such as land, water and seeds.

Peacebuilding and Advocacy for Just Peace

These questions will be addressed at the Ecumenical Peacebuilding Consultation and Workshop on Advocacy for Just Peace, in order to build a common understanding for the WCC Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace.

International Consultation on Justice, Peace and Reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula

Surrounded and embraced by representatives of the wider international ecumenical community within this consultation of 54 participants representing 34 churches and related organizations from 15 countries, delegations led by the leadership of both the Korean Christian Federation (KCF) from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) from the Republic of Korea (ROK), met at the Chateau de Bossey, Switzerland, on 17-19 June 2014.
