We, the members of communities including social thinkers, clergy, theologians, activists, and community leaders representing social organizations, ecumenical institutions, and religious traditions, gathered under the aegis of the New International Financial Economic Architecture (NIFEA). We met at a time when leaders of the G20 were also gathering to deliberate on the future of this planet.

Prof. Dr Fabien Revol, chair of the Ecumenical and Francophone Society on the Theology of Ecology and professor of theology at the Catholic University of Lyon, reflects below on the launch of the book "Penser les relations écologiques en théologie à l'ère de l'Anthropocène" ("Reflecting on Ecological Relations in Theology in the Anthropocene Era”), which is the fruit of a 2021 Theology of Ecology seminar organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC) in partnership with the Francophone Society.

The Pacific sees the smallness of region as a strength, not a weakness

“The Pacific is a large ocean region, and we see the smallness of our region as a strength not a weakness. The launch of a new book, "Penser les relations écologiques en théologie à l'ère de l'Anthropocène" (Eng: "Reflecting on Ecological Relations in Theology in the Anthropocene Era"), will take place during the second seminar on eco-theology on 5th July from 18:00 to 20:00 at the Salle II and III in Ecumenical Centre in Geneva.
