“Feast of Creation” seminar explores and inspires toward global ecological transformation

The World Council of Churches (WCC) cosponsored with Laudato Si Research Institute and the World Communion of Reformed Churches, Lutheran World Federation, Anglican Communion, and World Methodist Council an international seminar on “The Feast of Creation and the Mystery of Creation: Ecumenism, Theology, Liturgy, and Signs of the Times in Dialogue,” from 14-16 March at Laudato Si’ Center of Assisi and Pro Civitate Christiana, in Italy.

WCC to host webinar on Framework for Dialogue, a response to HIV Stigma

Entitled "Changing Hearts and Minds: Uganda and Nigeria in the Fight Against HIV Stigma," the webinar is organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC). This online event, scheduled for 14 November from 15:00 to 17:00 CET, will bring together esteemed voices from both the faith communities and networks of people living with HIV.

As debt piles onto the backs of poor countries, Christian community calls for relief

In dialogue with the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, representatives of the global Christian community shared lived experiences from countries grappling with heavy debt burdens as well as concrete proposals to tackle the current debt crisis at a 29 March side-event titled, “The impact of debt on poor countries and proposals for fair and green recovery financing.” The side-event was organised by the World Council of Churches together with CAFOD, ChristianAid, Jubilee USA and other faith-based organisations at the Civil Society Policy Forum.

WCC commemorates World AIDS Day with focus on making a difference, community by community

For World AIDS Day 2019, the World Council of Churches (WCC) embraces the theme "Communities make the difference." World AIDS Day is being commemorated in the context of 16 Days Against Gender-based Violence, an annual international campaign that began on 25 November and ends on 10 December, Human Rights Day. The WCC also helps bring about grassroots awareness and change through the Thursdays in Black campaign for a world free from rape and violence.

Dealing with traumas and healing of wounds
