Durante la apertura de la reunión del Comité Central del CMI, el 23 de junio, el Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, obispo presidente de la Iglesia de Noruega y antiguo secretario general del CMI, pronunció una oración y un sermón de apertura con los que creó lo que describió como un “momento de gran intensidad”.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace Reference Group and Theological Study Group, which convened in mid-June, brought reflections, prayers and insights that will form a path toward the WCC 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe in 2022.

Jim Winkler, president and general secretary of the National Council of Churches (USA) and Pastor Peter Noteboom, general secretary of The Canadian Council of Churches, shared reflections on their recent gathering.

The ways in which the World Council of Churches (WCC) fellowship drew closer during COVID-19 are highlighted in the newly published eBook “Revisiting the Distanced Church.” 

Published by the Network for New Media, Religion and Digital Culture Studies, the book is a review of the ways that faith communities have engaged with and through technology.

Después de la publicación en 2020 del informe de investigación Cooler Earth - Higher Benefits: Actions by those who care about children, climate and finance (Una Tierra más fría, más beneficios: Acciones de quienes se preocupan por los niños, el clima y las finanzas), el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) está lanzando una herramienta para uso impreso o en línea que insta a los jóvenes a promover opciones financieras que responden a la crisis climática.
