As the WCC central committee meeting opened on 23 June, Most Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, presiding bishop of the Church of Norway and former general secretary of the WCC, offered an opening prayer and sermon at what Tveit described as a “profound moment.”

Lors de l’ouverture de la réunion du Comité central du COE le 23 juin, le pasteur Olav Fykse Tveit, évêque président de l’Église de Norvège et ancien secrétaire général du COE, a prononcé une prière et un sermon d’ouverture. Il a qualifié ces circonstances de « moment intense ».

A workshop on 16 June, “Combatting child modern slavery in Ghana: Churches creating safe, inclusive and resilient communities,” drew dozens of participants who exchanged insights on how churches are serving as catalysts for positive change.
