Diese vorläufige Erklärung, an deren Ausarbeitung die Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung beteiligt war, liefert Einsichten in wichtige theologische Fragen, die in Beziehung zum Thema der Behinderung stehen. Sie will den Kirchen helfen, sich mit der Frage der Integration, aktiven Beteiligung und vollen Teilnahme von Menschen mit Behinderungen am geistlichen und sozialen Leben der Kirche im Besonderen und der Gesellschaft im Allgemeinen zu beschäftigen und sich dafür einzusetzen. Der Text liegt auch auf Englisch, Französisch und Spanisch vor.

There has been a growing awareness that persons with disabilities invite the Church to explore anew the understanding of the Gospel and the nature of the Church. This interim statement, drafted with participation from the Faith and Order Commission, offers pointers and insights on major theological themes. It is hoped that it will also help the churches address inclusion, active participation and full involvement in the spiritual and social life of the church in particular and society in general.

En esta declaración provisional, redactada con la participación de la Comisión de Fe y Constitución, se proponen reflexiones sobre los principales temas teológicos relacionados con la cuestión de la discapacidad. Su objetivo es ayudar a las iglesias a interrogarse sobre la inclusión y la activa y plena participación de las personas con discapacidades en la vida espiritual y social de las iglesias en particular, y de la sociedad en general.

Cette déclaration provisoire, rédigée avec la participation de la Commission de Foi et constitution, propose des réflexions sur des thèmes théologiques importants en rapport avec la question du handicap. Elle vise à aider les Eglises à s'interroger sur l'inclusion, la participation active et la pleine présence des personnes handicapées dans la vie spirituelle et sociale de l'Eglise en particulier et de la société en général. Ce texte existe en anglais, anglais , allemand et espagnol.
