WCC acting general secretary visits Korean Peninsula

World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca is visiting the Korean Peninsula this week, bringing greetings of solidarity to WCC member churches, meeting with former WCC Asian president Rev. Dr Sang Chang, attending an Ecumenical Peace Conversation, and bringing a message to the 26th Pentecostal World Conference.

Bossey reunion at the 11th assembly

It was one of the first days of the 11th assembly when I met an old Bossey friend. We had not seen each other for 24 years, although it felt we met yesterday. We shared memories of our Graduate School of Ecumenical Studies in Bossey in 1998 and remembered the names of our friends. We spoke about Bossey as a life-changing experience for both of us.

An assembly mood spreads across Asia

As the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly nears, Christians across Asia are ready to engage and bring Asian concerns and perspectives to the table. The World Council of Churches (WCC) has, since the first day of the war in Ukraine and even in the months before, been working and praying earnestly for peace in this conflict and throughout the world. From the beginning, the WCC has called for an immediate end to armed hostilities, to stop the war and has appealed also for an immediate end to indiscriminate attacks with an escalating impact on civilians in Ukraine.
