This guide is intended to introduce the reader to consensus decision-making in the World Council of Churches and to the procedures for implementing it in the conduct of meetings. Both the rule for the conduct of meetings (Rule XIX) and these guidelines are worded so as to apply to a meeting of the assembly of the Council, and they are to be used also in meetings of all its governing and consultative bodies. Finally, the flowchart of consensus procedures outlines the different steps involved in achieving consensus during the meetings.

Le 6 septembre, la 11e Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) a élu son Comité central composé de 150 personnes au cours d’une séance, à Karlsruhe, en Allemagne. Le Comité central du COE constitue l'organe législatif suprême du COE entre deux Assemblées.

El recorrido del CMI de Busan a Karlsruhe (Illustrated)

This report, received by the WCC central committee in February 2022, is the accountability report of the central committee to the WCC 11th Assembly, describing and offering an assessment of the activities of the WCC, since the 10th Assembly, in Busan, Republic of Korea, in late 2013.

This illustrated version is a narrative of a fellowship of churches committed to moving together on a Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace, conveying something of the energy, excitement, ambition, and initiative that have marked the WCC’s journey since Busan. It aims to assist assembly delegates to understand the council’s journey in this period and help them actively participate in the assembly, and to share the ecumenical vision reflected in the WCC’s activities with member churches, partners, and the wider fellowship.

Le Comité exécutif du COE a tenu une réunion spéciale le 4 janvier et a décidé que la prochaine réunion du Comité central du COE, prévue du 9 au 15 février, se tiendrait en ligne (en mode « virtuel ») et non en personne (en mode « présentiel ») comme prévu précédemment. Agnes Abuom, Modératrice du Comité central du COE, donne ci-dessous quelques détails sur cette décision et sur les plans d’avenir.

El CMI publica un resumen general de la reunión del Comité Central de junio

Con la presencia de 124 de los 155 miembros del Comité Central y de los presidentes de todo el mundo, el Comité Central del CMI se reunió para avanzar en los preparativos de la 11ª Asamblea del CMI, que tendrá lugar en 2022, en Karlsruhe (Alemania), con el tema “El amor de Cristo lleva al mundo a la reconciliación y la unidad”. El Comité Central también abordó las cuestiones relativas a la condición de miembro y reforzó a la comunidad del CMI a través de la oración y el intercambio.

Le COE présente un aperçu de la réunion du Comité central de juin

Sur les 155 membres et présidents du Comité central du COE, originaires du monde entier, 124 ont participé à la réunion afin de faire avancer les préparatifs de la 11e Assemblée du COE qui aura lieu en 2022 à Karlsruhe, en Allemagne, et qui aura pour thème «L’amour du Christ mène le monde à la réconciliation et à l’unité». Le Comité central a également traité les questions relatives aux membres et renforcé la communauté fraternelle du COE grâce à la prière et au partage.
