Las tres comisiones del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias —la Comisión de las Iglesias para Asuntos Internacionales, la Comisión para la Salud y la Sanación, y la Comisión sobre Justicia Climática y Desarrollo Sostenible— salieron de su reunión del 8 de marzo con un sentimiento de determinación colaborativa para abordar los desafíos del mundo con esperanza y medidas prácticas.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is mourning the loss and celebrating the life of Rev. Dr Jose Belo Chipenda, an African theologian and ecumenical leader.

Chipenda passed away on 10 January in Canada at the age of 95. 

In a message after COP28, World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay reflected more deeply on the disappointments, successes, and future agenda related to climate justice.

Canadian churches—including the Anglican Church, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Evangelical Lutheran Church, Presbyterian Church, and United Church—prepared a report for Canada’s Universal Periodic Review.
