United Nations leaders and the WCC have agreed that the international community and faith leaders need to cooperate more on working to fight the scourge of the deadly Ebola virus.

WCC leaders and President Nicos Anastasiades of Cyprus have discussed reunification of Cyprus and reconciliation among communities at a meeting on 25 November in the island's divided capital Nicosia.

At the Central Committee meeting of the WCC, leadership of the Council’s consultative bodies was announced. The WCC invites its member churches to join in prayer for peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula on Sunday, 10 August.

An ecumenical network in Latin America of composers, liturgists and writers plan to develop liturgical resources based on the WCC pilgrimage of justice and peace initiative.
