The annual review records many of the WCC’s activities undertaken in 2023 and continuing into 2024.

The year 2023 was one of new beginnings: the WCC central committee met in person for the first time since the WCC 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe in September 2022, the WCC commissions newly convened, and implementation of the WCC Strategic Plan for 2023- 2030 started. The WCC Annual Review includes a special visual section commemorating the WCC’s 75th anniversary and highlighting an unprecedented number of exhibitions that graced the Ecumenical Centre.

Remembering the WCC 11th Assembly: one year later

As the World Council of Churches (WCC) observes one year since the WCC 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, many resources can help the global fellowship, friends, and partners take a reflective look back at a gathering that drew more than 4,500 people, including 659 official delegates from the WCCs 352 member churches.

At “Working Together" meeting, “we welcome one another”

World Council of Churches (WCC) specialized ministries and roundtable partners are gathering on 3-4 May at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute for a Working Together” meeting filled with a spirit of interconnected learning and preparation for the WCC 11th Assembly.

Baptist-Catholic dialogue exploring dynamic of the Gospel, witness of the church

The Baptist World Alliance and Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity have resumed their international dialogue after a hiatus due to the COVID-19.  In two working sessions held on 16 and 18 June, the two organizations reviewed the work of their first three annual meetings, envisioned how work will continue, renewed relationships and engaged in common prayer.
