A delegation from the Amity Foundation visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 5 June, participating in a morning prayer, then greeting WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay.

Visitors from across the globe were welcomed by the World Council of Churches (WCC) in mid-March.

Unter Anwesenheit von 124 der 155 Mitglieder des Zentralausschusses und Präsidentinnen und Präsidenten des ÖRK aus aller Welt ist das ÖRK-Gremium Ende Juni zu seiner jüngsten Tagung zusammengetreten, um die Vorbereitungen für die 11. ÖRK-Vollversammlung voranzutreiben, die 2022 in Karlsruhe, Deutschland, stattfinden und unter der Überschrift „Die Liebe Christi bewegt, versöhnt und eint die Welt“ stehen wird. Darüber hinaus befasste sich der Zentralausschuss mit Mitgliedschaftsangelegenheiten und stärkte das Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl der Gemeinschaft von Kirchen durch Andachten und Austausch. 

With 124 of 155 central committee members and presidents from around the world present, the WCC central committee convened to advance preparations for the 11th WCC Assembly, taking place in 2022 in Karlsruhe, Germany under the theme “Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity.” The central committee also addressed membership matters and strengthened the WCC fellowship through prayer and sharing. 

World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit reflected on the “10 Commandments of Food” during a Seminar on Food and Water for Life, on 4 May, in Hong Kong.

Vom 17. bis 23. November tagte der Exekutivausschuss des ÖRK zum allerersten Mal in China. Gastgeber des Besuches waren der Chinesische Christenrat und die Patriotische Drei-Selbst-Bewegung. Letztere ist eine protestantische Kirche in der Volksrepublik China und eines der größten protestantischen Gremien weltweit.

On 17-23 November, the Executive Committee of the WCC met for the first time ever in China. The visit was hosted by the China Christian Council and the Three-Self Patriotic Movement. The Three-Self Patriotic Movement is a Protestant church in the People's Republic of China, as well as one of the largest Protestant bodies in the world.

Del 17 al 23 de noviembre, el Comité Ejecutivo del CMI se reunió por primera vez en China. La visita fue organizada por el Consejo Cristiano de China y el Movimiento Patriótico de las Tres Autonomías. El Movimiento Patriótico de las Tres Autonomías es una iglesia protestante de la República Popular China, además de uno de los organismos protestantes más grandes del mundo.

“The growing church in the People’s Republic of China today presents four characteristics: independent and autonomous, post-denominational, fast growing and faced with lots of challenges and emerging difficulties,” said the Rev. Gao Feng, president of the China Christian Council (CCC), in a speech in China on 14 June.
