As one of the WCC's founding members, the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) is honored to offer its greetings as the global fellowship continues its celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the WCC, writes Bishop Reginald T. On 7 May 2018, Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, general secretary of the World Council of Churches, sent a letter of condolences to the family of Rev. Dr James Cone and his beloved community of faith and scholars, upon the passing of Rev. Cone on 28 April 2018.
