Standing on a theological foundation that taking care of women is part of the mandate that God gave in the Bible, the World Council of Churches (WCC) is adapting public health messages in theological terms to advance cervical cancer elimination efforts. 

As the World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary, Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, continued his visit to China, discussions have focused on the contextualization of faith and the strengthening of collaboration with Christians and inter-religious partners. The visit included meetings with the Amity Foundation and various religious and governmental leaders.

The World Council of Churches executive committee completed its meeting in Abuja, Nigeria, 8-14 November, with a sense of moving the fellowship forward on the Pilgrimage of Justice, Reconciliation, and Unity.
