On 29 April, general consul of Bolivia in Switzerland Efraín Chambi Copa visited the World Council of Churches (WCC), meeting with WCC acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca and Rev. Dr Odair Pedroso Mateus, interim deputy general secretary and director of the WCC Commission on Faith and Order.

Statement on global economy delivered to Bolivia

In La Paz, an ecumenical delegation delivered to Bolivian government officials a statement on ethical principles for a new global economic system. The statement was received by Bolivian minister of the presidency Juan Ramon Quintana at the government palace on 9 January.
